Views of Jordanhill

The original ‘B’ listed building on the north campus was constructed in 1920. The practical buildings in the south campus date from the 1960s and the games hall on Anniesland Road was purchased in 2005 with support from Sportscotland.

A major redevelopment project was completed in the summer of 2008. This comprises the new south campus building, the all-weather pitch, multi-user games area and extensive landscaping as well as the extension and refurbishment of the Refectory.

The new building houses Art, Languages, Mathematics, Social Subjects and a large public space. It provides a wonderful learning environment and was short-listed for the RIBA Awards in 2009. A ‘history’ of the project can be viewed in the Building our Future pages.

In 2009 the School created new Science facilities in the space vacated by the Art department and a new suite of music rehearsal rooms.
