This is Anti-Bullying Week and we would like to share with you the events happening in school.
Secondary House Assemblies this week will focus on the theme of bullying and pupils will be asked to reflect on what ‘Respect’ means to them.
S1 Anti-Bullying Poster Competition
S1 pupils were invited to submit entries for this competition. The standard was very high and we would like to thank everyone who participated. The winning posters will be displayed around the school this week. You can view them here.
Last term, 8 primary pupils joined 7 young people from Secondary to be trained as Anti-Bullying Ambassadors for our School.
The team have organised an exciting set of activities to promote key anti-bullying messages to all children in Primary during Anti-Bullying Week.
- Launch Assembly to raise awareness
- National Hello Day
- Anti-bullying Design Competition
- Encouraging acts of kindness
- Selling anti-bullying wristbands and creating anti-bullying posters
- Promoting ‘Blue Friday’ giving each class an opportunity to pose in an anti-bullying Photo Booth.
Review of our Anti-Bullying Policy
We are beginning the process of reviewing and redeveloping our Anti-Bullying policy. As a first step, pupils in S1-S6 will complete a survey during PSHE time over the next few weeks. We are keen to involve members of the wider school community and we would invite any parents who would like to be part of this to express interest by contacting us.
