The Confucius Classroom Hub was established at Jordanhill in 2016 to promote and support the delivery of high quality Chinese language learning so that young people have the opportunity to learn about Chinese language and culture.
The work of the hub is supported by a grant from Hanban through the Confucius Institute for Scotland’s Schools (CISS). The partnership with CISS has afforded a wide range of wonderful opportunities for young people.
The Hub was formally opened in September 2016. The aspirations of the hub and the Swire Chinese Language Centre are mutually supportive.
The formal opening of the Scottish Opera Confucius Classroom took place at Jordanhill School on 16th February 2018.
