SQA exams results will be issued tomorrow, Tuesday 9th August, and we wish all our pupils the very best for results day. All pupils should have received a copy of SQA’s booklet ‘Appeals 2022 – what you need to know‘ last week and this contains advice for all learners in case any of their results are not what they hoped for.
Information on appeals
If a pupil has an exam result that is below their predicted grade, then they may be eligible for an appeal. Pupils who wish to submit an appeal for one or more than one of their subjects must complete this form – SQA Appeals August 2022 – to ensure we are able to prepare all the required evidence for submission to SQA.
Deadlines
For pupils who hold a conditional offer for college, employment or university, they must inform us of the need for a Priority Appeal. All requests for priority appeals and the associated evidence have to be submitted to SQA by Tuesday, 16th of August and pupils who meet the criteria for a Priority Appeal must complete this form by Friday, 12th August. For all other pupils, we ask that they complete the form by Monday 22nd August.
Permission
Before submitting an appeal request for a pupil, we must have their permission to do so. The form, therefore, must be completed by the young person themselves, and not parents or carers.
Staff return to work on Monday 15th. Component marks will not be available until next week and pupils will be sent details of how to access this information next week.
Course Choice Changes
Following on from receiving results, some young people may wish to discuss possible changes to their subject choices for next year. Pupils can message their Head of House via Teams or can meet with their Head of House on Monday, 15th in the Learning Zone from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
We wish our pupils the very best for this year’s SQA results.
