Jordanhill PTA is a group of parents and staff who raise money to support the school through a series of annual events. We welcome parents of both primary and secondary pupils. We are completely volunteer run, and the work of the PTA benefits all children in our school.
We run 2 main annual events: the bustling Christmas Fayre and the incredibly popular (adult only) Quiz night. In 2023 and 2024 we hosted Family Fun Nights in September which is now a bi-yearly event with our next planned for 2026!
We provide hot rolls, drinks and snacks every Saturday morning in the Refectory during the school sport season and welcome anyone from our school community, even if not attending sports events!
In 2024-25 we funded/contributed to…
- P7 Gartmore WWII trip
- China trip apparel
- Band finals competition transport
- Aberdeen sports team transport
- Saturday morning volunteer coaches clothing
- Primary football coaching resources
- Speakers for school events
- Large drama curtain for productions
- Christmas dances
- Primary festive fundraising crafts
- Forestopia visit
- S6 leaving day event
- Lake Garda band trip apparel
- Spring bulbs for school lawn
- Lego kits for primary lunch club
- Primary Pantomime
The PTA have paid towards the Christmas Pantomime for the Primary school children over the years and made a significant (£20,000) contribution towards the new Primary playground equipment in 2022/23.
The PTA have contributed over £100,000 to school projects over the years. We always welcome new members to support our fundraising efforts including our ever-popular Saturday Morning Refectory Service.
